Alec Hagerty is a REALTOR® Broker and Real Estate Educator from Elyria, Ohio. Alec has been involved as an agent, broker-manager, general manager, principle broker and trainer/educator for over 31 years. He is currently associated as a broker with the Howard Hanna/Smythe Cramer Co. Realtors, and owner of Knowledge Sponge Seminars L.L.C., a real estate and business training company.

Active in all levels of REALTOR® organizations, Alec was twice his local boards President, and received their Salesperson of the Year award (1986) and Broker of the year (1994). On the State level he has chaired several Ohio Association of REALTORS committees and in 1997 was also honored to receive the Ohio "Instructor of the Year Award". On the national level he has been a member of several NAR committees, and Alec is an approved REBAC Instructor.

Alec holds several NAR designations: ABR, ABRM, CRB, e-PRO and the SRES. In addition he has the C-CREC, CNE, GHS and the SHS. He is an instructor for numerous designation and certification courses and is also an affiliate of RealtyU. In 1999 he was honored by the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) with the "Distinguished Real Estate Instructor" designation, (DREI) currently held by only 108 real estate instructors in the U.S. and Canada. Alec has taught well over 15,000 hours of CE and high level training and designation courses.
